Terrazzo Flooring in Lebanon
Terrazzo is marble, granite, glass or stone chips set in a cement or epoxy binder, then ground flat and polished. It is the floor in half the old buildings of Beirut — and it is back, in new colors and with epoxy binders that allow thinner, brighter, seamless floors. TopCrete pours, grinds and polishes both cement terrazzo and epoxy terrazzo, and precasts terrazzo tiles, steps and tops.

Cement terrazzo vs. epoxy terrazzo
Cement terrazzo is the traditional system: 15–25 mm of cement and aggregate over a screed, divided by brass or aluminium strips, ground and polished. Cooler underfoot, natural matte-to-satin look, ideal for restoration and classic interiors. Epoxy terrazzo is 8–10 mm of resin binder and aggregate, seamless, in any color including bright whites and pigments cement cannot do. Faster to install, better over existing slabs, glossy finish. We will recommend one after seeing the floor.
Aggregates and design
White and colored marble, black basalt, recycled glass, mother-of-pearl, metal. Fine and uniform, or large chips scattered in a plain field. Divider strips can form patterns, borders and logos. Because we mix on site, the color and chip size are yours to choose from real samples.
Precast terrazzo
Terrazzo tiles up to 90×90 cm, 3 cm thick, ground rough or smooth. Terrazzo stair treads, window sills, countertops and table tops made in our workshop. See also precast concrete furniture.

Frequently asked questions
Can you restore an old terrazzo floor?
Yes. We regrind the surface, fill cracks and chips with matching aggregate, then polish and seal. Usually far cheaper than replacing.
How thick is a terrazzo floor?
Epoxy terrazzo about 8–10 mm over a prepared slab; cement terrazzo 15–25 mm including the bed.
Is terrazzo slippery?
Polished terrazzo is similar to polished marble. For wet areas we finish to a lower sheen or add a slip-resistant sealer.
How much does terrazzo cost per m² in Lebanon?
It depends on the system (cement vs. epoxy), the aggregate and the area. Send us the m² and a photo of the space for a quote.
